This painting was inspired by the movie Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman. Her character's beauty was so vibrant yet she was about to die. I was moved by the contrast between her beauty and vitality of life versus death. I expressed it through her flower of life fully blooming and yet attached to the dying flower.
