Each one of the flowers in the painting was created in a different time and set of mind. It all started with a flower bocce I got from my partner for Shabbat that was so beautiful it motivated me to paint it to last. He had to keep bringing me irises every few weeks to inspire me to finish the painting. It took three months and I was grateful for his persistence, the irises and his love. One day I walked out the patio to paint, and I saw a humming bird floating in the air near the irises in the blue vase. Then it moved close to the painting of the flowers and hovered there for a while. I felt it was the greatest complement an artist can ever wish for.
