Groundless Bloomingwater-based oils on canvas; original 24"x30"
I was selling my jewelry at an art show in sunny California. In front of me was a vendor with flowers that were blooming with their roots straight in the air. There was no dirt in the pots. The roots were absorbing moisture from the air and did not need to be in the ground. I was enchanted by those flowers and their ability to live fully without needing to be rooted in the earth.
