Tree of Life coin - gold vermeil on sterling
The tree of life coin is inspired by a 2000-year-old ancient coin from Israel.
The original coin had no fruit under the tree to symbolize morning of the loss of the people’s freedom to the Roman empire.
In the coin created by the artist, the tree bears fruit, and the name of Caesar was replaced with the Hebrew word “cha- yim “ , “חיים”, written in ancient Hebrew letters, which means “life”, or the “tree of life” coin. This symbolizes the victory of life and freedom after 2000 years, being the artist Galit born a free Jew, in the free country of Israel.
This piece is made with 18k gold, 3 micron thickness coating over, Sterling silver (925), Vermeil.
The coin can be made in 14k solid gold. Please contact the artist.
